Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a preschool teacher and my husband, Jordan, is a medical student. I’m from Arizona, he’s from Hawai’i, and we met in college in San Diego. My favorite hobbies are yoga, musical theatre, and being a foodie! Paradox has been our healing and our home after religious deconstruction. I love how Paradox embraces the complex beauty of the human condition and how we can experience the Divine through it.

Hi, I’m Cheryl. I’m retired and when the weather is nice, I spend most of my day working/playing in the garden or the yard. When I’m not doing that, I’m sitting on the patio enjoying a good book. I love spending time with friends and my large family. I came to Paradox because I was looking for an open and affirming church. I was so surprised my first day attending, with how powerful the music and sermon were, and the people? Oh my gosh, they were so welcoming. It felt like home the first day. Since then, I have made Paradox my spiritual home where I feel loved, welcomed, and part of the family.

I am Darise. I share a birthday month with my twin daughters and I'm so grateful. My genres of movies and books have surpassed my limits. This occurring is one of the things that bring me joy. I am getting to know myself and others in intimate ways again and again.

Hi! I am a nurse in labor & delivery and mom of two. When I'm not taking care of babies, you can usually find me reading and sipping coffee. I love spending time outdoors and having deep conversations about life.

I am a retired pediatric dietitian, the best part of which is spending time with my grandkids! I love the beach, hiking, gardening, games, friends, meeting new people, and having adventures. My favorite thing to make and eat is chocolate chip cookies (and they always taste best before breakfast!). My "go to" shoes have been Birkenstocks for at least 50 years. My husband, Ken, and I were part of the group who voted to start Paradox Church. Being a member of this community has greatly enriched our lives!

Tammy has been a member and support of Paradox since the first service. She regularly volunteers and is a greatly appreciated member of our community. She has been a Trustee since the Board was commissioned.

Mike has been a great guide and has served on the Trustee Board since 2016. He started as the church's Treasurer and has continued to guide us in financial decisions such as the building project.

Eric and his family are involved in the Paradox Kids programs. He enjoys sharing with the kids his various projects and expertise. Being good at numbers, Eric is the guy who checks the numbers at Trustees meetings.

(He/Him) Ken loves spending time with his family and grandchildren and loves helping wherever he can. He has been serving Paradox since the very beginning on various teams and was also a Founding Board member. He frequently helps by running a camera every week and is passionate in sharing ideas for our building project.

Hello! I'm Hailey Seheult, a proud member of Paradox since the very beginning. I'm a first-grade teacher in Riverside, and thrilled to tie the knot this summer with my wonderful fiancee, Rory! I'm grateful to be a part of such a wonderful church community. Our motto rings true in my everyday life, seeing and embracing Jesus Christ in all.

I work as a physical therapist. My favorite pass times are laughing at my own jokes and enjoying my husband's cooking. I'm really into whatever I'm obsessed with at the moment, whether that is a particular video game, book, or soundtrack.

I entered pastoral ministry in Sri Lanka in 1978. My wife, Padmini, and I got married the same year and have three children, Nelita, Nilmini, and Lasantha, and eight grandchildren. During my years as a minister in Sri Lanka, India, and California, I provided spiritual care to people seeking help in navigating the challenges and stressors in their family and spiritual lives. These important interactions later steered me towards Clinical Psychology. Graduate studies in Public Health, Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Psychology have given me the tools necessary in helping families and individuals with mental health and relational problems. I currently have my own practice called Anova Family Services, a non-profit organization that provides mental health services to students and families in several school districts.

Hello! I'm Christian Barrera-Sandri, just another nerdy Latino and Queer adventurer and homebody. If I'm not playing one of my many games or reading, you'll probably find me quietly thinking about that stuff with coffee in hand. I try to lead many fantasy lives as rich as my real one as a husband to an excellent man and plant dad working retail. After the pandemic and struggling with my own faith, I quickly googled, "Gay Friendly Churches" and quickly dove headfirst into serving and making this church my home making others feel as welcome as I did.
