Welcome to Paradox Church!
We are so glad you found us! The common tie between everyone here is that we all have a desire to become more loving people. If you share that same desire, we would love for you to join us!

What to Expect
At Paradox Church, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Our services typically last for 75 minutes and feature modern music, thought-provoking sermons, and diversity of thought.

We have a parking lot right next to the church which is accessible off of Cajon St and Olive Ave. There is also plenty of street parking on Olive Ave. Either way, you won't have to walk too far!
-
We have two ways you can find us: from the breezeway or courtyard of First Baptist Church. If you park in the lot, you'll enter through the breezeway (ADA accessible). Make a left and go all the way down the hall until you're greeted by our Hospitality Team. Entering the courtyard (Olive Ave.), we are the smaller building on the right. With our Hospitality Team, you'll find coffee and refreshments! Our service is held in the Chapel, which will be the room where all the noise is coming from (we love the drums).
-
Absolutely! We have busy boxes filled with toys for three different age groups to play with during the service. But, if your child needs a little more space to roam around, we have a Parent Room available down the hall that has a screen playing our live service!
-
Every Saturday at 9:15am, Paradox Kids engages our young ones (ages 4-10) with practical lessons and application. Once a month, Paradox Youth (ages 10-14) gathers to discuss life in an informal and relaxed setting. High schoolers tend to enjoy our main service and find the messages relevant to the things they are facing in school, family, and more.

Whatever you are comfortable in. Most people at Paradox dress casual.
-
No, and you don’t even need to be a Christian to be a member at Paradox Church. We welcome diverse couples, including those where one partner is an atheist and the other a Christian. Our aim is to foster an environment where both individuals feel loved, supported, and motivated to grow in love.
-
While we are currently a non-denominational church, Paradox grew out of the Seventh-day Adventist Christian tradition. When we started the church in 2016, we had a strong desire to keep our founding community together, which was a group that met on Saturday mornings. However, if you attend Paradox this weekend, you will not feel like an outsider if you have no connection to the Adventist Christian tradition. Our goal is to meet everyone where they are at and celebrate everyone's journey at the church!
-
Absolutely! Most people at Paradox are deconstructing something, so you will feel right at home at our church. Deconstruction is a lonely experience, here, we journey together through the toughest questions and work alongside each other to reconstruct faith in our modern world.
-
We have found spiritual maturity requires all of us to embrace paradox and contradiction. For example, Jesus Christ is fully human AND fully divine. Jesus Christ lives AND, in the Gospel story, dies. And God is always found where God should not be. This name reminds us to embrace, rather than resolve, the paradoxes and contradictions we encounter.
-
No! We are a stand-alone church held accountable by our board of Elders and Trustees.
-
For the comfort of all our guests and members, we have found its best if we do not allow emotional support animals in our church service.
Fully trained service animals are always welcome.
