Hi, I’m Cheryl. I’m retired and when the weather is nice, I spend most of my day working/playing in the garden or the yard. When I’m not doing that, I’m sitting on the patio enjoying a good book. I love spending time with friends and my large family. I came to Paradox because I was looking for an open and affirming church. I was so surprised my first day attending, with how powerful the music and sermon were, and the people? Oh my gosh, they were so welcoming. It felt like home the first day. Since then, I have made Paradox my spiritual home where I feel loved, welcomed, and part of the family.

An educator by background, Nelita brings a deep appreciation for curiosity, open dialogue, and authentic community to her leadership role at Paradox Church.

After spending a memorable year traveling across the U.S. in an Airstream with her husband, David, and their children, Nelita's family relocated to California and underwent a season of personal and vocational reset—including thoughtful faith deconstruction. What drew her to Paradox was its unique culture: a place where "sermons are meant to start discussions," where respectful disagreement is welcomed as part of community, and where new ideas are actively encouraged.

Today, Nelita is an integral part of Paradox's story, dedicated to fostering a healthy, welcoming space where individuals and families can explore faith honestly and grow together.

Kim is a retired Lutheran Minister who brings more decades of experience working in the ministry than Pastor Craig has experience of living on this earth. Whether serving behind the scenes or sharing messages from the stage, Kim is deeply committed to Paradox's mission of fostering an open, affirming, and welcoming spiritual home for all.
